Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid surgery for women. The page lists upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery and combined upper and lower blepharoplasty. Upper eyelid surgery uses an incision in the natural crease to remove excess skin and fat. Lower eyelid surgery uses an incision just beneath the lash line or inside the lid (transconjunctival approach) to remove or reposition fat and tighten skin, and is typically performed under general anesthesia. The procedure takes one to two hours and patients go home the same day (eyelid surgery for women).
- The page lists conditions treated: obstructed peripheral vision, heavy upper eyelid skin, under-eye bags and hollows, and lower lid laxity. Dr. Kessler evaluates whether surgery is needed for visual clarity or for appearance.
- Eyelid surgery for men. Male blepharoplasty removes or repositions excess skin and fat of the upper and/or lower lids. The procedure takes 45 to 90 minutes, under local anesthesia or IV sedation (eyelid surgery for men).
- Brow lift. Performed under IV sedation or general anesthesia and lasting two to three hours. Dr. Kessler often uses the endoscopic technique, with three to five short incisions in the scalp and temples. The coronal method, an incision from ear to ear within the hairline, is reserved for more severe brow ptosis. A hairline lowering procedure may be done for a long forehead (brow lift).
Galleries: the blepharoplasty gallery shows cases #714 to #717, and the brow lift gallery shows eight cases, both labeled as surgeries performed by Dr. Robert Kessler.
The site has no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site offers deep plane facelift, facelift, neck lift, ear surgery and facial fat transfer, plus breast and body surgery, Upneeq, Botox, fillers, CO2 laser resurfacing and other non-invasive treatments (source).
Insurance and cost
The eyelid pages publish no prices. Cost depends on whether upper, lower or combined surgery is done and is set at consultation; financing is available. The brow lift page names financing through Alphaeon and CareCredit and a Patriot Program for active-duty service members and spouses. The site makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage.
