- In private practice in Fort Wayne since 1995.
- Co-founder and co-director of the Children's Craniofacial Center in Fort Wayne with Dr. Baron Whateley, a team that treated cleft lip and palate (home page; source).
- Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate Association, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
- The site states he performs reconstructive surgery at no charge for children with facial deformities from Africa and China.
Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid lift. Incisions are made along the eyelid creases and excess fat, muscle and skin are trimmed; the remaining tissue is lifted and secured. The page states that vision obstructed by drooping upper eyelids can also be corrected (source).
- During the eyelid lift, Dr. Severinac can release muscles at the outer eyebrow for some lift and between the eyebrows to soften frown lines.
- The procedure is typically performed in the office surgical suite with oral sedation and local anesthesia.
- Forehead lift. For brows that sit below the eye socket bones, a forehead lift removes skin within the scalp, at the hairline, within forehead creases or at the upper eyebrow margin. The page states a forehead lift is much less common than an eyelid lift and that lifting the forehead to treat upper eyelid skin often causes a "surprised look." It can also be done in the office under local anesthesia and oral sedation (source).
- Gallery. The eyelid gallery states that its cases are Dr. Severinac's patients and that the surgery was performed in the Fort Wayne office (source).
The site has no separate page for ptosis repair, lower eyelid surgery, double eyelid surgery or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site also lists face and neck lift, face and neck liposuction, rhinoplasty, facial implants, otoplasty, breast augmentation and lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, mommy makeover, arm lift, thigh and buttock lift, craniofacial reconstruction, skin lesion treatment and carpal tunnel release (source).
Insurance and cost
The site makes no statement about insurance, Medicare or price for eyelid surgery. The eyelid page calls the in-office procedure affordable but gives no figure. Financing is offered through CareCredit (financing).
