- Board certification: the practice home page describes her as "a board-certified plastic surgeon in Houston" and does not name the board (myhoustonsurgeons.com). Her credential is printed as MD, FACS.
- She received a Resident Teaching Award during residency.
- Her bio lists aesthetic surgery of the face, body contouring after massive weight loss, and hair restoration, with a special interest in post-massive weight loss surgery.
Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The practice page covers upper, lower or combined eyelid surgery for drooping lids, bags and puffiness (blepharoplasty).
- Upper eyelid: an incision along the natural crease, with skin and muscle removed as needed. Bulging fat may be conservatively removed, or fat may be injected along the orbital rim.
- Lower eyelid: an incision just below the lash line or inside the inner lining of the lower lid. Puffiness is treated by conservative fat removal or fat repositioning; additional fat may be injected; the lower lid may be tightened to correct droopy position.
- Anesthesia is local, sedation or general, depending on the surgeon and the combination of procedures.
- The page states blepharoplasty can also address functional issues, such as sagging upper lid skin that reduces vision.
- Brow lift. The practice page describes an endoscopic brow lift through small hairline incisions, done as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia with IV sedation (source). Her bio's procedure list does not include brow lift.
Gallery: the shared blepharoplasty gallery holds 84 before-and-after cases, each labeled by surgeon; 15 are labeled "Specialist: Dr. Rednam" (source).
Other procedures
Her bio lists rhinoplasty, facelift and neck lift, otoplasty, earlobe reduction, chin augmentation, cleft lip and palate, facial feminization, skin cancer and Mohs reconstruction, and scar revision, plus tummy tuck, liposuction, arm and thigh lift, Brazilian butt lift and post-bariatric surgery. Non-surgical work includes Botox, fillers, Fraxel laser, chemical peels and Profound skin tightening.
Insurance and cost
- The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices and no statement on insurance or Medicare coverage.
- Financing is available through CareCredit, PatientFi and Cherry; the financing page states CareCredit covers procedures up to $25,000 (source).
Recovery
- Patients recover at home once they have recovered from anesthesia (blepharoplasty).
- Swelling and bruising are expected, along with temporary blurred vision, watering eyes and light sensitivity right after surgery.
- Back to work: most patients feel comfortable being seen in public and returning to work 7-10 days after surgery.
