Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid surgery is outpatient at his Baton Rouge surgery centers, usually under local anesthetic with an oral sedative.
- Upper blepharoplasty. An incision along the natural fold of the upper lid removes excess fat and tissue; in some cases fat and tissue are repositioned instead. Excess skin is trimmed and closed with fine sutures.
- Lower blepharoplasty. An incision just below the lower lashes removes fat, skin and tissue. The transconjunctival incision, inside the lower lid, leaves a concealed scar and is offered to patients with good skin elasticity.
- The page lists ptosis or drooping of the upper lid that may block vision, bags, upper lid fullness, sagging skin and severe hooding among the conditions treated.
- Laser eyelid tightening is offered as a minimally invasive option for some patients.
- Many of his facelift patients add eyelid surgery.
Brow lift. The brow lift page lists an endoscopic brow lift through incisions in the hairline, a coronal brow lift through an ear-to-ear incision, and a temporal brow lift through an incision between forehead and hairline. Brow lift is outpatient under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, takes about 2 hours, and is done in accredited facilities or his in-office operating room with a full-time anesthesiologist (source).
The practice gallery has no eyelid or brow cases.
