Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Incision placed within the natural eyelid crease; excess skin removed, fat pads refined, and the levator muscle adjusted if needed for eyelid position. Performed with local anesthesia and sedation or general anesthesia, 1-2 hours (source).
- Lower blepharoplasty. Incision just beneath the lower lash line to remove excess skin, refine the lower lid and address skin laxity; may include repositioning fat or smoothing the lid-cheek transition (source).
- Transconjunctival blepharoplasty. Incision placed inside the lower eyelid to address excess fat without an external skin incision (same page).
- The general blepharoplasty page lists candidacy concerns including sagging upper-eyelid skin that impairs vision, under-eye bags, and droopiness showing white below the iris (source).
Other procedures
The practice offers brow lift, facelift (including deep plane facelift), buccal fat removal, lip lift, breast procedures, body contouring (tummy tuck, liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lift), and non-surgical injectable, laser and skin treatments (midamericaplasticsurgery.com).
Insurance and cost
No insurance, Medicare or price statement for eyelid surgery is published; the practice's page states cost "varies based on customization."
