Eyelid surgery work
- Consultation. Dr. Dickie evaluates whether a patient needs upper eyelid surgery, brow surgery, lower eyelid surgery or a combination of all three. Patients with dry eyes, styes, excess tearing or new visual changes are advised to see an optometrist first (eyelid surgery process).
- Upper eyelid. A small incision in the natural fold of the eyelid allows removal of excess skin and fat; fat may be removed, moved or added.
- Lower eyelid. The incision is placed just below the lash line or inside the eyelid to remove or redistribute fat and tighten skin. The lower eyelid article describes the transconjunctival approach for puffiness with good skin tone and the subciliary approach when both fat and skin need treatment (lower eyelid surgery).
- Combination treatments. Laser resurfacing, dermal fillers or fat grafting, and medical-grade eye creams are offered for wrinkles and hollows that blepharoplasty does not treat.
- Anesthesia and setting. Outpatient surgery under local anesthesia with sedation, usually 1 to 2 hours.

Other procedures
- Brow surgery. Brow lifting or recontouring usually uses an incision near the temporal hairline and sometimes the eyelid incision, with sutures to support the brow (eyelid surgery process).
- The site also lists facelift, neck lift, ear surgery, facial fat grafting, breast and body surgery, Mohs reconstruction, scar and skin lesion surgery, Sciton laser treatments, Botox, Dysport and fillers (source).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no prices and makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery. The eyelid process article notes excess upper eyelid skin can impair vision, making surgery "not just a cosmetic but also a functional solution." Financing is offered through CareCredit (financing).
Recovery

- Pain: most patients use Tylenol and cold compresses for the first 1 to 3 days.
- Activity: walk 10 to 15 minutes every 4 hours in the first days; strenuous workouts restart at 3 weeks.
- Contact lenses: not worn for several weeks after surgery.
- Back to routine: within a few weeks; final results may take weeks or months.
