Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Removes redundant skin and, in select cases, fat or muscle. The incision sits in the natural upper eyelid crease and is closed with fine sutures; the procedure is outpatient (upper eyelid).
- Lower blepharoplasty. Three approaches are described: transconjunctival surgery through an incision inside the lid, a skin-muscle (subciliary) approach below the lash line when skin or muscle laxity is present, and fat repositioning to smooth the lid-cheek transition. Lower eyelid surgery is performed at the Wayne surgical center (lower eyelid).
- Asian double eyelid surgery. Creates or refines an upper eyelid crease, with tapered or parallel crease designs. Techniques are a suture (non-incisional) method, an incisional method and a sub-brow approach. Adjuncts are medial canthoplasty for the epicanthal fold and lateral canthoplasty for the outer corner. The page states the incisional method generally gives a longer-lasting crease, and revision of prior double eyelid surgery may be possible (source).
- Brow lift. Repositions the brows and forehead tissue, alone or with upper eyelid surgery. Incisions sit within or along the hairline or near the temples; an endoscopic lift uses several shorter scalp incisions (source).
Galleries: the upper eyelid gallery shows upper blepharoplasty, Asian upper eyelid revision and combined upper and lower cases, one with medial epicanthal fold plasty (upper gallery). The lower eyelid gallery shows transconjunctival, transcutaneous, fat transposition and skin pinch cases, including male patients (lower gallery). The double eyelid gallery shows primary and revision cases (double eyelid gallery).
