Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. A fine incision sits in the natural crease; Dr. Nazarian removes a measured strip of skin and, when helpful, a small sliver of orbicularis muscle or preaponeurotic fat. For ptosis, a levator tightening may be added. Most cases use local anesthesia with oral or IV sedation in an accredited Beverly Hills suite; surgery runs 45 to 90 minutes. When ptosis or lacrimal issues arise, the practice collaborates with an oculoplastic surgeon (source).
- Lower blepharoplasty. A transconjunctival incision inside the eyelid is used for fat bulging with good skin elasticity; a fine incision beneath the lash line is used for loose skin. Fat is often repositioned to fill hollows. Skin-only pinch cases can be done awake under local anesthesia; transconjunctival fat sculpting uses IV sedation or general anesthesia. A fractional laser pass may be added at the same sitting. The procedure takes about an hour (source).
- Double eyelid surgery. Two methods: suture (non-incisional) with buried sutures to the tarsal plate, and incisional with permanent fixation; a hybrid is used as needed. Epicanthoplasty or ptosis repair can be added. Time in the suite runs 45 to 120 minutes (source).
- Brow lift. Conventional, lateral and endoscopic techniques are described, done as outpatient surgery in 1 to 2 hours (source).
- Fox eyes. A surgical lift with incisions hidden within or just behind the hairline (source).
Galleries: blepharoplasty, 35 patients (source); upper blepharoplasty, 19 (source); lower blepharoplasty, 12 (source); brow lift, 5 (source).

Insurance and cost
- "We're a self-pay practice and don't bill insurance." The practice can provide an itemized statement with codes for patients seeking reimbursement; HSA/FSA cards are accepted when allowed (source).
- The blepharoplasty page states most insurance companies do not cover cosmetic procedures and gives no practice price; it cites a US national average of $4,000 to $11,000.
- The brow lift page states "Brow lifts cost between $2,500-$5,500," excluding anesthesia and facility fees.
- Financing is through CareCredit (source).
Recovery
- Swelling and mild bruising peak on days two to three (source).
- Sutures out: external sutures come out around day five to seven.
- Back to work: most patients feel ready for work in seven to ten days.
- Contact lenses: none for two weeks; strenuous exercise after three weeks; avoid sun for at least four weeks (blepharoplasty).
- Final result: the upper crease softens over six to twelve weeks.
