Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The site states Dr. Yoo focuses on fat preservation, repositioning fat to fill hollow areas, and uses the transconjunctival approach for lower lids. Surgery is outpatient, under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia (blepharoplasty).
- Upper blepharoplasty. A small incision in the natural crease removes excess skin and repositions fat. The page states it can improve vision impaired by drooping upper lids (upper blepharoplasty).
- Lower blepharoplasty. A small incision inside the lower lid (transconjunctival) or just below the lash line; fat is removed or redistributed and excess skin removed if needed. It treats under-eye bags, lid laxity and tear trough deformity, and takes one to two hours (lower blepharoplasty).
- Asian blepharoplasty. An incision at the planned height of the new crease, with 4 to 5 sutures connecting the levator muscle to the underside of the skin; one to two hours under local anesthesia, oral sedation or general anesthesia (Asian blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift. Dr. Yoo most often uses the endoscopic technique ("endobrow") through small incisions behind the hairline, or an open technique along or behind the hairline; one to two hours, usually under general anesthesia (brow lift).
Galleries: blepharoplasty (24 cases), Asian blepharoplasty (2 cases) and brow lift (7 cases).
Other procedures
The site lists rhinoplasty, including revision rhinoplasty with rib harvest, facelift, neck lift, facial reconstruction after trauma, laser treatments, Botox, fillers and skin care (meet Dr. Yoo).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no prices and makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery.

- Upper blepharoplasty downtime: 7 to 10 days (upper blepharoplasty).
- Lower blepharoplasty: light activities within 1 to 2 weeks; cold compresses reduce swelling (lower blepharoplasty).
- Asian blepharoplasty: bruising and swelling for a week to ten days; permanent skin stitches removed at the one week visit; swelling between crease and lashes resolves over several months.
- Results: initial results within 1 to 2 weeks, full results over several months; many patients keep results 10 to 15 years or more.
- Brow lift: most bruising and swelling gone after one week and resolved after two to three weeks.
