Eyelid surgery work
The eyelid lift page states she offers eyelid lift surgery to correct upper and lower eyelid laxity:
- Upper blepharoplasty. Incisions in the natural eyelid crease; small eyelid muscles may be adjusted, excess skin removed and fat repositioned. One to two hours; recovery about one to two weeks.
- Lower blepharoplasty. An incision just below the lash line; excess skin and fat removed and closed with fine stitches. One to two hours; recovery about 10 days to two weeks.
- Bilateral blepharoplasty. Upper and lower surgery together, one to three hours.
- Ptosis. When the upper eyelid droops near the pupil, the surgeon may also perform ptosis repair to support the eyelid muscles.
- Before surgery, the eyes are measured and tear and vision tests are done.
Brow lift. The brow lift page describes the classic (coronal) brow lift under general anesthesia, the endoscopic brow lift through small hairline incisions, and the temporal brow lift, which can be done under local anesthesia.
Gallery. The eyelid lift gallery shows two patient cases, women aged 53 and 56, both after upper blepharoplasty. The site has no brow lift gallery.
Other procedures
The site offers facelift, neck lift, chin liposuction, rhinoplasty, ear surgery, lip augmentation, mole and lesion removal, breast and body surgery, injectables and skin care (source).
Insurance and cost
- "Health insurance may cover an upper eyelid lift if the skin obscures your vision."
- The FAQ states the procedure is not usually covered by insurance, but coverage may apply when the surgeon documents that vision is affected; medical necessity rests on impaired vision from excess upper eyelid skin (eyelid lift).
- The site publishes no practice prices for eyelid or brow surgery.
Recovery
From the eyelid lift page:
- Swelling and bruising: about 1 to 3 weeks; appearance keeps improving over 1 to 3 months.
- Back to work: public activities and work usually resume around 10 to 14 days; the page also advises at least one week off.
- Contact lenses: not for two weeks.
- Sutures: usually removed after 10 days.
- Exercise: no vigorous activity or lifting until cleared; daily walks help.
- Final result: better after one or two months and entirely normal after six months.
