Eyelid surgery work
The upper eyelid page walks through incision placement "hidden in the crease just above the upper eyelashes," separating skin from the orbicularis oculi muscle, removing excess muscle and fat from two pockets, and suturing with plastic suture material (uppereyelids). The lower eyelid page describes a transconjunctival approach, with the incision "made on the pink part of the lower eyelid... inside of the lashes," using electrocautery and a corneal eye shield, with no sutures needed for the conjunctival incision (lowereyelids1). The eyelid surgery gallery page loaded with images referencing before-and-after eyelid cases (source).
Insurance and cost
No statements about insurance, Medicare coverage or prices are published. On recovery, the upper eyelid page states the suture is typically removed about one week after surgery, and early incomplete eye closure (lagophthalmos) resolves within the first week as swelling subsides.
