Eyelid surgery work
The practice has four surgeons: Edward S. Gronka, Joseph Raniere Jr., Philip Borger and Takintope Akinbiyi (providers). The eyelid and brow pages describe the procedures for the whole practice.
- Blepharoplasty. Upper eyelid surgery uses a small incision along the natural crease of the upper eyelid to remove or reposition excess skin, fat and sometimes muscle, and can improve vision when sagging skin obstructs the visual field. Lower eyelid surgery uses an incision just below the lower lash line or inside the eyelid to remove or redistribute fat and tighten skin. Eyelid surgery takes about one to two hours under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia; combined upper and lower blepharoplasty typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours (blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift. Performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia or sedation. Approaches listed are endoscopic (small incisions in the hairline), coronal (a longer incision across the scalp) and temporal limited-incision brow lift for the outer brows (source).
- A patient review on the blepharoplasty page names Dr. Akinbiyi for an eye-area procedure.
The practice gallery has no eyelid or brow category; its face gallery shows neck lift cases.
Other procedures
The practice also offers facelift, neck lift, chin augmentation, otoplasty, rhinoplasty and septoplasty; breast augmentation, lift, reduction, reconstruction and revision; tummy tuck, liposuction, mommy makeover, arm and thigh lift, labiaplasty and gynecomastia surgery; gender confirmation top surgery; hair restoration; and non-surgical treatments.
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no prices and makes no statement about insurance coverage for eyelid surgery. A financing information page is listed.
